NSF establishes operations center to expand national AI research resource access

The U.S. NSF is creating the NAIRR Operations Center as the operational backbone of its national AI research infrastructure: coordinating resource providers, integrating compute/data/models, running the national portal, and offering training. The NAIRR pilot has supported 800+ research projects since 2024 with 25+ private-sector partners.
