Utopia: open-source enterprise world model built on a bitemporal knowledge graph

techNmak · x · 2026-09-04

Utopia bills itself as an open-source enterprise world model, with a bitemporal knowledge graph at its core. The argument: enterprise knowledge changes constantly—customer statuses, contract amendments, policy replacements—yet typical RAG pipelines (retrieve passages, answer) let yesterday's facts silently go stale.

Instead of overwriting knowledge, every fact in Utopia carries two timelines: when it was true in the real world, and when the system learned it, with prior versions preserved after corrections. The goal is agents that know not just what is true, but what was true, when, and what changed since.
