First open-source AI movie generates every scene from real GitHub commits
derewah · reddit · 2026-09-04
Reddit user derewah released what they call the first ever open-source AI movie: every scene is generated from a commit, grounded on a real GitHub repo, and anyone can contribute code to extend the story.
The project runs on FastH3 — the author says the idea had been in mind for a while, but only became feasible now that FastH3 is fast enough. Watchable at openslop.live, with code open-sourced at github.com/Dere-Wah/open-slop. Feedback is welcome.
