GPT-6 Astra Early Test: 21B Tokens In, Priced at 2x GPT 5.6 Sol
charliermarsh · x · 2026-09-04
Early-access developer robinebers put over 21 billion tokens through GPT-6 Astra and calls it "the model we've been waiting for" — a real Fable competitor. Highlights: much better site/app design, complex problem understanding, and dramatically improved writing with a natural tone. But it costs 2x GPT 5.6 Sol and isn't much cheaper than Fable 5.1, though it is significantly faster. His verdict: use both if you can afford it; either one alone is now good enough.
