OpenAI is giving restricted Daybreak cybersecurity customers first access to GPT-6 Astra, with broader tiers and API following in days.
- Greg Brockman suggested it "may be the model later remembered as AGI."
- Pricing: $10/M input and $50/M output tokens — 2.5x GPT-5.6 Sol, matching Anthropic Feble 5.1; Brockman argued the industry will move to price-per-task.
- In internal evals Astra scored 100% on ExploitBench and found two V8 zero-days (with Daybreak Blue access, not default config).
- OpenAI classifies it as its first Critical-cyber model, restricting top cyber capabilities to vetted users.
