xAI published a design retrospective on Grok Bot, three weeks after launch, explaining how it rethinks AI interface for agents that persist beyond a single session:
- Replaces the session-centric chat paradigm with a Bot roster and presence signals in the sidebar.
- The mock UI shows multiple agents working in parallel — drafting intros, chasing receipts, monitoring launches — each reporting progress.
- Introduces "a computer of the Bot's own," where work can start without a user prompt.
