OpenAI says Astra was built on its largest-ever training run, using more than 100,000 GPUs at its Stargate site in Texas, per a new report. The disclosure offers one of the most concrete data points yet on the compute scale behind frontier model training and confirms Stargate infrastructure is actively being used.
