GitHub shipped Copilot CLI v1.0.83-4.
- Added: Client ID Metadata Document (CIMD) support for MCP OAuth sign-in.
- Improved: sessions start without the restore prompt by default; resuming large sessions keeps the prompt responsive; agent-configured MCP servers persist across sub-agent turns; Anthropic sessions survive temporary fallbacks instead of failing on invalid thinking signatures.
- Fixed: sandboxed file tools now share developer-tool paths with sandboxed shell commands (including token-bearing configs like /.npmrc, configurable via sandbox.allowDevToolAccess); stopping timed-out shell commands lets queued messages run; long-running Linux sessions return freed memory instead of holding gigabytes.
- Removed: retired Claude and Gemini models dropped from the /model picker.
