Google announced WeatherNext 3, its most advanced global weather AI model built by Google DeepMind and Google Research. It offers prediction capabilities up to 5x sharper than WeatherNext 2 with high spatial resolution, catching fast-evolving rainstorms, mapping local temperature shifts, and helping wind farms forecast power output. It starts rolling out today across Google Search, Gemini App, Google Maps, the Maps Platform Weather API, and Google Earth Engine.
