Google DeepMind announced WeatherNext 3 will power forecasts in Google Search, the Gemini app, Google Maps, and Maps Platform. Developers and researchers can access real-time data via BigQuery, Earth Engine, and GCS. The model cuts global precipitation forecast error by up to 50%, with the largest gains in historically less reliable regions.
