Unitree founder Wang Xingxing says robotics' ChatGPT moment is still 2-3 years away

Unitree founder Wang Xingxing said the day after his company's IPO that robotics has not had its ChatGPT moment yet — he estimates it is at least 2-3 years away, possibly 5-10.

His benchmark: robots reach a tipping point when you can simply give voice commands and have them complete 80% of household tasks. That echoes NVIDIA's Jim Fan's "physical Turing test" — if a messy room comes back clean and you can't tell whether a robot or a human did it.

Deliberately cooling hype the day after listing is a notably measured stance in a field full of overpromising.
