Mustafa Suleyman announced MAI-Transcribe-2, Microsoft's new speech-to-text model: 10x faster than GPT-Transcribe, 5x faster than Gemini 3.5, and ranked #1 on Artificial Analysis's accuracy-latency Pareto frontier at the lowest price on the market.
The model is available via Microsoft Foundry or the MAI Playground preview, which supports live recording or uploading mp3/wav files, with presets for clinical dictation, budget review, and pharmacy support.
