A Reddit user compiled a list of open-source AI agent / 'AI coworker' platforms, defining the category by four capabilities:
- Specialized agents with their own instructions, tools and skills, automating SEO, outreach, support, onboarding, or persona tasks like travel planning;
- Scheduling: cron-style or event-driven automations, e.g. daily issue triage with draft PRs, or researching new signups and drafting welcome emails;
- MCP integrations with OAuth, some offering a full computer with browser, shell and Python;
- Channels: exposing agents via Telegram, Slack, WhatsApp or custom widgets.
The author is building an open-source project in the space and invites additions to the list.
