Coding agents can already act like recursive language models, says Alex Zhang

On the Weaviate Podcast, Alex Zhang argues coding agents can already behave like Recursive Language Models: Claude Code or Codex can write a program that calls another agent over a file. The capability is there, but it's not the default — prompting them into that style shows friction, since the scaffolds weren't built for it. He sees Claude Code's dynamic workflows as only an early step.
