Figure commits $3.5B with Nscale to deploy up to 100,000 GPUs on NVIDIA Vera Rubin

Figure announced a strategic partnership with Nscale to deploy up to 100,000 GPUs on the NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform, targeting initial deployment in Barstow, Texas starting H2 2027. The deal starts at a $3.5 billion compute commitment with plans to scale beyond $6 billion, plus a strategic Nscale investment in Figure.
- CEO Brett Adcock says Figure is now largely bound by data and compute for training Helix; last week's Index dataset effort generates 35 minutes of data per second, but scaling physical intelligence requires massive compute.
- Jensen Huang framed the deal as activating the "physical AI flywheel": training on Vera Rubin via Nscale's cloud, validating in Isaac Sim, and deploying on GPUs inside Figure's humanoids.
