Audacity 4.0 ships with Qt-based UI rebuild and new clip-editing model

Open-source audio editor Audacity has released version 4.0.0, rebuilding its interface on Qt with major workflow improvements.
- New clip-editing model: click clip headers to select, Shift for multi-select; move, trim, and time-stretch multiple clips together; clips can be grouped and groups stay intact when edited.
- Freer clip placement: clips can move between mono and stereo tracks, and overlapping moves replace the overlapped audio instead of blocking.
- Dedicated split tool: hold S and click to split, plus split-cut, split at silences, and split to new track commands.
- Smarter pasting auto-creates tracks, adapts channel layouts, and accepts audio files directly.
Most Audacity 3 workflows remain available, though some controls have moved.
