Ethan Mollick says he got early access to Gemini 3.8 Flash, calling it "a very good Flash model" — quick, but not equivalent to a frontier model. Using the same prompt to generate a drowned neo-gothic tower twigl shader, Gemini 3.8 Flash responded very fast, but Fable 5.1's output (also better than Fable 5 and earlier models) remained visibly superior.
