Baidu and IFAW launch AI Guardian, removing 18,000 illegal wildlife listings

Baidu and IFAW have officially launched AI Guardian, a wildlife conservation platform powered by ERNIE models. Building on a collaboration started in 2020, it has helped remove over 18,000 listings linked to illegal wildlife trade; an endangered-species image recognition model was iterated in 2024. The project website is now live.
