Varun Raman argues after scrolling TikTok that people in tech, especially in SF, badly underestimate public hostility toward AI: data-center water use, AI destroying art, job losses, and exaggerated AI incidents. He believes the real media opportunity is acknowledging and addressing these concerns — otherwise AI as a whole stalls.
