Wayve co-founder Alex Kendall announced that Wayve and Uber have launched the UK's first supervised autonomous ride-hailing service in London, letting users request rides powered by Wayve's AI Driver through Uber starting today.
- Wayve has been testing vehicles on UK streets since 2018, marking another first in its decade-long history.
- The company pursues an AV2.0 end-to-end approach built on foundation models and a fleet learning loop, with prior research including the GAIA world model and LINGO language-trained driving models.
