Anthropic publishes official guide to strip the 'Claude' out of Claude's writing
addyosmani · x · 2026-09-03
Anthropic released an official prompting guide for Claude Fable 5.1 that includes techniques for removing the model's signature prose mannerisms and AI boilerplate, complete with a de-flavoring prompt. Organized by observed behavior, it covers effort levels, batching tool calls in agent loops, append-only conversation history, writing density, formatting in chat, quoting retrieved sources, finishing whole tasks, preserving constraints in compaction summaries, scope/test discipline, search triggering, safeguard false positives, file edits, long outputs, subagents, and vision. Existing Fable 5 prompts carry over unchanged.
