Tenstorrent and AI & Inc launch JapanFold: free inference for open-source drug discovery models

AI & Inc (aiand) announced JapanFold, co-developed with Tenstorrent (Jim Keller's team, including its Japan unit), offering inference for the latest open-source drug discovery models — Boltz-2, OpenFold3 and ESMFold-2 — to researchers, pharma companies, academia and startups, running in AI & Inc's Japan-based data centers with free trial access.

The thesis: inference costs for frontier scientific fields like biology should be subsidized, and JapanFold is the first step, claiming industry-leading performance.
