Until Scales Cryoprotectant Candidates from Dozens to 250K with Its Discovery Engine

Max Hodak (ex-Neuralink president) and YC's Garry Tan boosted cryopreservation startup Until's latest update. Until is tackling one of cryobiology's biggest challenges: finding biocompatible cryoprotectants. Its in-house cryoprotectant discovery engine scaled the search from a few dozen candidate molecules to over 250,000, already producing hits.
Hodak argues humanity is nearing a significant nonlinearity in lifespan and thriving, but timing is unknowable — and many patients today will miss it. Bridging even a few years could be the difference between nothing and getting to participate in a future beyond wildest sci-fi dreams.
