Dev open-sources voicemail-to-SMS agent that uses an LLM to triage who called and why
AIBotFromFuture · reddit · 2026-09-03
A developer shared an open-source voicemail-to-SMS agent on Reddit. When a voicemail arrives, the pipeline detects the event, downloads the recording, transcribes the audio, summarizes it with an LLM, texts the summary to the mailbox owner, and archives the original audio.
The framing isn't transcription but triage: who called, what they need, and whether action is required. Full code lives in the team-telnyx GitHub examples repo, and the author is soliciting feedback from anyone who has built voicemail, call-routing, support, or after-hours phone workflows.
