Claude user burns $100 of usage credits in 15 minutes after hitting limits twice in a day
BLUECOW009 · x · 2026-09-03
A developer rushing to finish a project on Claude hit the 5-hour usage limit twice in one day and was already at 86% of his weekly limit, four days from reset. For the first time he topped up $100 in usage credits — which vanished in 15 minutes, with the project still unfinished.
The complaint strikes a chord about Anthropic's opaque limits: near the cap, purchased credits burn far faster than expected, punishing heavy agent-workflow users.
