After X account hacks, users urged to revoke old third-party app permissions

Following recent X account hacking attempts, the author revoked all third-party app access and recommends others do the same.
- Review your connected apps at X's settings page
- Revoke access for apps you don't recognize or no longer use — many sites authorized years ago (some now defunct) retain read/write permissions
- The author also noticed mysterious comments posted from their account, suggesting stale authorizations were being abused
