Gary Marcus publicly called out The Information for refusing to answer his question about its Astra report, which claimed an "innovative technique that improved the model's performance also means that the model, and others like it, will reveal less of their thinking." Marcus demanded the outlet either publish a correction or stand by the claim, noting it is his second ask — and says the non-response has undermined his trust in the publication.
