NVIDIA is now the leading contributor of open-source AI repositories on Hugging Face, adding 500+ repos over 12 months and pulling ahead of Alibaba Cloud, Hugging Face and Tencent since September 2025 — spanning Nemotron models, Cosmos world models, and GR00T robotics datasets. Sam Witteveen notes NVIDIA's edge comes from publishing papers, training recipes and datasets, not just models.
