Bindu Reddy notes that Google keeps releasing new Gemini Flash checkpoints every other week, now at 3.8. He finds it odd that Google trails open-source models despite rumored Fable and Astra being close to AGI, and says Flash 3.8 shows little visible improvement over the previous version.
