Twilio dev advocate Craig Dennis joins OpenAI, recounts pre-ChatGPT LLM demos generating TwiML

Developer advocate Craig Dennis announced he has joined OpenAI. He recalls getting early access to an LLM API at Twilio before ChatGPT existed: few-shot prompt completion, and a demo where the model generated working TwiML from plain English — including a phone app that answered calls with text-to-speech whale sounds. He says he wants to bring that sense of wonder to developers at OpenAI.
