Leak: "GPT-6-Astra" apparently staged on OpenAI API, rollout may be imminent
haider1 · x · 2026-09-03
Users found the OpenAI Responses API returns a 404 Not Found for "gpt-6-astra", while garbage/nonexistent slugs return 400s — a 404 also appears for "5.6 Cyber", which is known to exist. This suggests the model is already registered in OpenAI's production stack with routing and configs being prepared before public rollout, with tomorrow cited as the most likely date. A similar quirk in the Bedrock API revealed Fable 5.1 a day before its launch. Unconfirmed by OpenAI.
