Reddit user Marsrule vents about ChatGPT's sycophantic corrections: after being challenged, it replies "My mistake, I should've thought about the alternatives, you're right..." — which only makes things worse, since it apparently knew a better answer all along.
The user's bigger complaint: when asking ChatGPT for advice, it shifts its answers based on your tone and perspective and struggles with nuanced situations. They wish the model would at least stop constantly admitting it was wrong.
