Researcher stuck with Claude after Anthropic charged and ignored refund requests, mixes $100 Codex plan with Grok to stay under $200

ML author Andriy Burkov says Anthropic mistakenly charged his card for a year of Claude and silently ignored repeated refund requests — which is the only reason he still codes with Claude. Instead of paying OpenAI's generous $200/month Codex plan, he works with the $100/month tier plus Codex and Grok together, getting more coding while staying under $200/month. He quips that Anthropic found a smart way to keep customers while not letting them go to competitors.
