ChatGPT desktop update leaves Codex selector unclickable on New Chat page

After updating the ChatGPT Windows desktop app to 26.831.20005, the ChatGPT/Codex selector in the upper-left corner does not respond to clicks on the New Chat page. Opening any existing conversation from the sidebar makes the selector work again. The issue is consistently reproducible and only affects the New Chat page; both ChatGPT and Codex otherwise function normally.
