SkyPilot released Agent Sessions, tackling the new job of babysitting coding agents that run for minutes to hours and demand attention at unpredictable moments.
Key points:
- Agents run in persistent, pausable devspaces on your own Kubernetes clusters, keeping data and GPUs in-house
- Press Ctrl-] and walk away: sessions survive laptop sleep, disconnection, and pauses; reattach from CLI, browser, or phone
- A fleet dashboard notifies you the moment an agent needs a permission or decision
- Sessions are plain shells, working with Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Aider, Goose, Amp, OpenCode, Cursor, and more; connects via websocket with no kubeconfig or SSH setup
