Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced Gemini 3.8 Flash, the third Flash release in just six weeks. It delivers significant leaps over 3.7 Flash in software engineering, agentic tasks, and multi-step reasoning. On the DeepSWE v1.1 benchmark, Google says it autonomously solves complex engineering problems end-to-end, outperforming most larger frontier models at a fraction of the cost.
