Gemini 3.8 Flash hits GA: third Flash release in 6 weeks, same $0.75/$3.75 pricing

Gemini 3.8 Flash is now GA — Google's third Flash release in six weeks, continuing the focus on real-world engineering, long-horizon tasks, and agent autonomy. It's generally better than 3.7 Flash across all domains at the same pricing: $0.75 / $3.75 per 1M tokens.
Key behavioral change: it takes smaller steps and verifies its work more often. That means higher token usage, but the extra tokens go toward running tests and verifying changes, yielding much higher-quality work — especially for complex, long-running goals.
It's the default model in Antigravity and Managed Agents, and available in Google AI Studio, the Gemini API, and the Gemini App.
