AI infrastructure company Modal announced its second European office in London, led by newly hired VP EMEA Hugh Killingbeck-Jones, to build out GTM teams covering startups and enterprise customers.
CEO Erik Bernhardsson notes Modal has long been transatlantic: its Stockholm team has grown to nearly 20 engineers building core components like the custom file system and much of the Sandboxes product. The London office will later expand into engineering and other functions.
The company sees strong momentum among Europe's new generation of AI startups in robotics, biotech, legal, and fintech, and is hiring across the UK and Sweden.
