Robotics researcher Oier Mees joins Prometheus to build general intelligence for the physical world

Robotics researcher Oier Mees announced he is joining Prometheus in Zurich to work toward an "artificial general engineer" — general intelligence for the physical world.
His thesis: AI has made extraordinary progress in the digital world, but its impact on the physical economy remains limited. While much of the industry scales today's frontier models, Prometheus pursues a different frontier — dramatically accelerating the loop from imagination to invention, discovery, engineering and manufacturing.
He says his own path has been through robotics, and highlights the unusually high-caliber team, without sharing further technical details.
