Yoav Goldberg: Don't write clickbait paper titles that strip key information
LChoshen · x · 2026-09-02
Researcher Yoav Goldberg urged authors not to title papers for "maximizing engagement" by omitting key information, calling it a waste of readers' time since the truth comes out quickly anyway. He argues titles should be as informative as possible for searchability and quick vetting, with another researcher adding that seeking to be heard is less lovely than sharing genuine findings.
