Microsoft Launches AI-500 Beta Certification for Production Multi-Agent AI Systems

Microsoft has opened beta registration for Exam AI-500, "Designing and Implementing Multi-Agent AI Solutions," targeting expert-level practitioners who design, build, and operate production-ready multi-agent systems.
Candidates are expected to have experience deploying agentic systems in production, orchestrating agent logic with Microsoft Foundry, and proficiency in Python, plus Azure compute/network/storage/data services. Familiarity with open-source frameworks and standards — Microsoft Agent Framework, MCP, RAG, and LangGraph — is also required. Passing score is 700; beta exams are not scored immediately, and an official study guide is available.
