After a week with Qwen 3.8, a Reddit user is considering switching back to 3.6:
- A 2-line PR turns into a 100-line "linter-style mess" from 3.8.
- 3.6 one-shots small changes that fit existing naming and layout; 3.8 insists on its own parameters and return types — a simple return False becomes a "perfect" dict stuffed with metadata.
The author admits 3.8's code is genuinely good (error handling, strict typing), but it's overkill for internal one-call methods and can't maintain a consistent style.
