Micron Taiwan offers record bonuses to avert strike; 15,000+ staff build HBM there

Media reports say about 80% of union members backed a strike because the current bonus structure doesn't reflect Micron's record AI-driven revenue, so Micron Taiwan plans to issue the biggest performance bonuses in company history.
In a pre-recorded SEMICON Taiwan video, CEO Sanjay Mehrotra said the Taiwan operation grew from a small office 30 years ago into Micron's biggest and most advanced manufacturing base, with over 15,000 employees dedicated to High Bandwidth Memory (HBM).
