Anthropic Safety Guard Misclassifications Halted Fable Testing

During v3 testing for Fable 5.1, many requests were rejected due to Anthropic's safety guards misclassifying them as "reverse engineering". Although the Anthropic team tried to lift the restrictions in time for launch, they weren't able to finish testing. The author praised their anonymous contact for fighting for them internally.
