AWS ML Blog · rss · 2026-09-02
AWS announced the availability of Anthropic's Claude Fable 5.1 on Amazon Bedrock. The model offers enhanced reasoning for coding and research. It is designated as a Covered Model, requiring data retention for safety reviews by default.
AWS and Anthropic introduced Enterprise Frontier Safeguards (EFS), allowing eligible customers to use Fable 5.1 with Zero Data Retention (ZDR) within their controlled cloud environment. Future updates will bring customer-managed keys and automated-only auditing. A Python code example using Boto3 is provided. The model is available now in US and Global regions.
