World Labs drops Atlas: An omni world model for space-time

World Labs released the Atlas model, a massive step toward spatial intelligence and a true understanding of physics and 3D geometry. It is a multimodal autoregressive diffusion transformer that grounds everything in a shared "spatial context."
Key highlights:
- Holodeck from a Cell Phone: With footage from just 3-5 phones, Atlas builds a complete, navigable space-time simulation, freezing time to reframe shots from impossible angles.
- Real-to-Sim for Embodied AGI: As a simulated robot moves through a reconstructed space, Atlas actively generates the exact RGB and depth sensor data along its trajectory.
- Physics and Interaction: Captures how objects move and interact. Simulates rigid, articulated, and deformable objects from casual recordings, instantly tweaking lighting to generate infinite training environments.
- Explicit 3D Geometry: Natively outputs full 3D point clouds and Gaussian splats for real-time rendering and exploration.
