NVIDIA and CrowdStrike build adaptive agentic cybersecurity system
NVIDIAAI · x · 2026-09-02
NVIDIA and CrowdStrike evaluated an agentic attack-defense system connecting offensive and defensive activities in a closed loop.
System Architecture
- Defense Harness: Combined six mechanisms including a schema knowledge base, telemetry grounding, specialized detection authoring with Nemotron 3 Super, artifact linting, detection replay, and independent review.
- Model Roles: Nemotron 3 Ultra handled orchestration while a fine-tuned Nemotron 3 Super served as a bounded expert for detection generation.
Performance
- Backtesting: The optimized open-model pipeline achieved a 41.9% mean detection rate, a 2.5x improvement over the default harness.
- Live-fire Testing: Against eight unseen attacks, 45% of open-model detections generalized vs 29% for the frontier system. Three open detections achieved "gold" status and covered all attacks.
