Lady Gaga's Fiancé Builds AI Lab Replacing Animal Testing with Living Human Skin

Outer Biosciences is developing an AI model trained on living human tissue kept alive outside the body for over a month to replace animal testing. Co-founded by Michael Polansky in 2020, the company counts Lady Gaga as a board member who inspired the project. By using AI to analyze how drugs affect actual human skin samples, the startup aims to solve the massive failure rate caused by discrepancies between animal models and human physiology.
