Fleet runs GPU benchmarks in your browser, open-sources hundreds of WebGPU kernels

xenovatech · reddit · 2026-09-02

A team on Hugging Face introduced Fleet, a GPU benchmarking tool that runs entirely in the browser. Users run WebGPU compute kernels drawn from real AI workloads directly on their hardware and receive a personalized performance card for their device.

The team is also open-sourcing hundreds of these WebGPU kernels as a first step toward making browser inference as fast as physically possible. Contributed benchmark results show how the kernels perform across real hardware and help make them faster.
