Perplexity launches hybrid compute moving tasks to local Mac models

Perplexity introduced a hybrid compute feature in its Computer tool. Tasks can be initiated in the cloud and then transferred to a local model running on the user's Mac. This is designed for steps involving private files or sensitive data and is available now in the Perplexity Mac app.
